Pinta is a drawing and editing application modeled after Paint.NET. It includes some interesting features like support of layers, unlimited undo and redo, and a bunch of special filters and effects to spice up your images – but its nothing like a serious photo editor. It does, however, include a nice selection of drawing tools that can make Pinta a good choice as photo editor.

12/01/16This is a really good app, but it's frozen while I'm in the middle of painting. If I close it, it will not save (I'll have to start over). I've closed all the applications that I can without closing Pinta, and I'm trying my best to be patient. Can you guys please help me? I can't choose tools or zoom out at ALL. I can't even do ctrl + F for file save.
