Great CAD application for 2D-design.
The program has a range of tools to create 2D drawings for industrial design. This software has an easy to use and customizable interface, allows using layers to create your drawing and offers the ability to quickly measure lengths and dimensions right inside the drawing. In addition to that LibreCAD has a lot of features for professional 2D design:
- can export SVG, JPG, PNG, PDF and other files
- drawing with the mouse or with the keyboard
- points and movements of the mouse are shown in Cartesian and polar coordinates
- it has layers, blocks, splines, polylines
- ellipse tools (of course lines, rectangles), advanced tangent line & circle tools, transformation tools, pan and zoom, lots of others
- text editor mode
- available in a large number of languages

01/01/17if you run it as a tab in chrome you can cast. even walked away a few times and did not time out. or crash , might need to type at a steady speed,, so it can update. The trial does save locally. I will upgrade. tutorials can probably be found online / youtube. Works the same as if running locally on machine.

06/07/16I believe it is a great idea, but an interactive tutorial would be useful. I tried to print a command list and I couldnt, I tried to draw few lines and I did not know how to zoom properly.

25/01/16When it works, it works OK can be slugish or not quiet make sense. Im a novice, but i was slowly but surely getting the basic fusnctions under control. Its great to have a online CAD software, but it keeps crashing randomly alot unfortunatly which makes it very frustrating to use and I keep saving every 2 minutes to make sure my progress isnt lost WHEN it crashes.
