Krita is a creative sketching and painting application based on Calligra technology. Whether you want to create art paintings, cartoons, concept art or textures, Krita supports most graphics tablets out of the box.
Browser requirements: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari. File management (open, save, and edit Calligra files) available via cloud storage services connected to your rollApp account: Dropbox, Google Drive, Box.
- User Interface
An intuitive user interface that stays out of your way. The dockers and panels can be moved and customized for your specific workflow. Once you have your setup, you can save it as your own workspace. You can also create your own shortcuts for commonly used tools.
- Brush Engines
Customize your brushes with over 9 unique brush engines. Each engine has a large amount of settings to customize your brush. Each brush engine is made to satisfy a specific need such as the Color Smudge engine, Shape engine, Particle engine, and even a filter engine. Once you are done creating your brushes, you can save them and organize them with Krita’s unique tagging system.
- Wrap-around mode
It is easy to create seamless textures and patterns now. Press the ‘W’ key while painting to toggle wrap-around mode. The image will make references of itself along the x and y axis. Continue painting and watch all of the references update instantly. No more clunky offsetting to see how your image repeats itself.
- Brush Stabilizers
Have a shaky hand? Add a stabilizer to your brush to smoothen it out. Krita includes 3 different ways to smooth and stabilize your brush strokes. There is even a dedicated Dynamic Brush tool where you can add drag and mass.

23/03/22This is terrible! Not Krita itself, Krita is pretty good, but rollapp. When I clicked the link to open Krita, it only gives me a screen shot of the app and nothing else.

15/11/21My honest opinion? Just install the Medibang paint app on Chromebook. This is way too laggy and barely playable,you cant save, and it just overall sucks. (coming from a real person, hi, Im nex)

27/08/21I would curse cause it bad but im to lazy anyways. there are some issues with lag. you shouldn't make it to where you have to pay to save, its rude and your job is to allow us to use apps we cant on things like Chromebooks. i tried making a drawing but it sucked do to the lag. anyways i would just try to make it to where it dosent lag and allow us to at least save out work. thank you for your time! -goopyskele
